Endura Frontal Protection Systems approved to 2005/66/EC
Endura Frontal Protection Systems are currently the only manufacturer who have been able to gain approval on an FPS which can cover the bonnet leading edge. A range of 27 vehicles has now been approved with several more in the process of testing and approval. Any FPS which is more than 900mm high from the floor must meet the child/small adult head impact test. See video here of how this test is performed. Endura are the only manufacturer to be able to offer a product which can meet this requirement, offering the highest levels of pedestrian protection of any FPS on the market. Upper/lower leg and torso injuries can also be significantly reduced due to the energy absorbing design and the height of the FPS. As the FPS's are full height and have depth, Spot lamps can be mounted to the pre installed mounting points. Many of the lower Steel Products are unable to offer spot lamp mounting possibilities. Endura technology has been used in the manufacture of FPS's for Landrover for 16 years. Endura have also recieved commendations from RAC Foundation, Thatcham (UK insurance research centre) and the FIA.
